Robert Daniel Copeland passed away on November 5, 2006 in Austin. Bob was born August 11, 1938, in Kansas City, Missouri. He earned degrees from Iowa State and Michigan State in landscape architecture and taught at the University of Texas. Bob worked for the national firm of Sasaki, Dawson, Demay in Massachusetts. He was uniquely proud of his work as Chief of Landscape Architecture for Hemisfair 1968 in San Antonio. Bob lived most of his life along the shores of Town Lake in Austin which he loved so much. Bob is survived by his daughter, Colleen Enos, and son-in-law, Paul Enos, both of Austin; his daughter, Marissa Copeland, of New York; his grandchildren Alayna, John Dylan and Ty of Austin; his step-brother, Robert Watts, of California; and his mother, Wilma Watts, of Kansas City. Bob was preceded in death by his father, William Copeland; his step-father, Roy Watts; and his daughter, Adria Copeland. Services will be private and in lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the Austin Parks Foundation, 701 Brazos, #170, Austin, TX 78701.
