

Born on May 25, 1941, in Austin, Texas, Robert was the son of Pascual and Mary Nandin Hernandez. He graduated from The University of Texas in 1975 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and went on to build a professional career in real estate, accounting, and tax preparation, serving his local community with dedication and professionalism.
Robert was an avid jogger and a devoted University of Texas fan who embraced life with determination, discipline, and enthusiasm. He will be deeply remembered for his many accomplishments, unwavering integrity, and, above all, his devotion to his family. His kindness, strength of character, and generous spirit touched the lives of all who knew him.
Robert taught those around him the value of perseverance. Through his words, actions, and example, he instilled in his family enduring lessons about hard work, determination, integrity, and facing life's challenges with strength and resilience. Those lessons remain a lasting part of his legacy and will continue to guide the lives of those who knew and loved him.
Robert is survived by his sister, Rachel H. Cortez (Fernando Cortez); his children, Robert G. Hernandez Jr. (Jay Hernandez), Richard G. Hernandez (Kelly Hernandez), Renee G. Hernandez Lockwood, and Rhonda G. Hernandez; as well as his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pascual Hernandez and Mary Nandin Hernandez, and his brother, Pascual Hernandez Jr.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 25, 4:00-8:00 p.m. and Rosary at 7:00 p.m at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 S. Congress Ave., Austin, Texas 78704.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 26, 10:00 a.m. at Saint Mary Cathedral, 203 E. 10th Street, Austin, Texas 78701. Following the service, he will peacefully be laid to rest at Assumption Cemetery at 3650 S IH-35 Frontage Rd, Austin, TX 78704.
Robert's legacy of love, perseverance, and integrity will live on through his family and the many lives he touched. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
