Robert V. Lara, age 76, of Austin passed away July 22, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leondro and Josefina Vera Lara and sister, Mary Ann Lara. Robert, a beloved husband of 56 years, is survived by his wife, Victoria Castillo Lara; sons, Louis, Robert, Jr. and wife Anna, Leonard and wife Gloria and Andrew Lara; sisters, Beatrice Rios, Alice Lara and Esther Benavides; six grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family would like to express its gratitude to the ICU Staff at South Austin Hospital for their compassionate care of Robert. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at the Wilke-Clay-Fish Chapel. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, July 25, 2008.
