Though never able to speak a word, he conveyed love every single day of his life; though unable to walk steadily, he shepherded his family on a pilgrimage to gratitude and appreciation; though unable to care for himself, he blessed his family, caregivers and companions with the privilege of clothing, feeding and sheltering his enfeebled body. His brief life of incapacity, though marked by debility, was the greatest gift a son has ever given to his family.
Nothing, no words, pictures or sounds could describe his 30 years. All we can say is that no person has ever changed lives, families, friends and community the way Robbie did. We miss you buddy.
We would like to extend our thanks to the compassionate staff at St. David’s Hospital in Round Rock and to his Hightengale Group Home. We would like to offer our deep gratitude to all of Robbie’s medical providers, companions, caregivers and colleagues of the last 30 years; with specific recognition of Mia Spiller, his closest friend and caregiver for 25 of those years.
Robbie is survived by his parents Catherine and Kevin Morse, his brother Mitch Morse, sister-in-law Caitlin, niece Kennedy (6) and nephew Deacon (4); as well as his beloved aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.
A Funeral Mass for Robbie will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 26th at St. Austin Catholic Church. Parking is available in the church parking garage located at 1900 San Antonio Street. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation in Robbie’s honor to Hospice Austin or to The Rosedale Foundation.
