Robert Charles Reinehr, 78, of Georgetown, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2013, after a brief illness. Born in Jamestown, ND, he served in the Army as a 2nd Lieutenant until honorable discharge in 1958, to pursue his college education. Upon receiving his PhD from UT @ Austin, he taught at ACC, worked in private practice and at MHMR, and served as Chief Psychologist at the Austin State Hospital. He was emeritus professor of psychology at Southwest University, Georgetown from 1981 until retirement in 1999. He loved music, history, travel and was a published author.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Gertrude and Charles Reinehr; and son, Daniel.
Robert is survived by his wife and life-long friend, Evalena Smith Reinehr, Austin; his brother, William Reinehr, Marble Falls; daughter, Catherine Carter; and son, Charles Reinehr.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, April 15, 2013 at Bannockburn Baptist Church.
