Ron graduated from Lanier HS and enjoyed the Austin culture and music scene of the time and was a veteran of the Armadillo World Headquarters. He then joined the US Air Force during which time he travelled and lived throughout the world in service to his country. He attained his college degree while serving and retired a decorated veteran of Desert Storm.
Upon retirement, he utilized his college education working as a Regional Manager for a company in the petroleum industry. This allowed him to travel, a passion, throughout the US on business, but most liked was his ability to visit family from coast to coast. Family, travel, music, fishing, and the outdoors were what he enjoyed most.
Ron was pre-ceded in death by his father Jerry, also retired USAF. He leaves behind his mother Yolanda, sister Deborah and her husband Robert, nieces Melissa and Jacqueline and their children Christopher, Mya and Madison. Also remaining are numerous aunts, uncles and cousins from coast to coast, throughout the US and Canada. Family reunions kept the family close and his memory will be celebrated for many reunions to come.
Although his passing was sudden, he was able to receive Last Rights with members of the family present, re-affirming his faith prior to continuing his journey into the next life. Ron, along with Jerry are most assuredly "on the lake fishing", awaiting the next reunion of family and friends.
