Ronald Charles Senne

Memorial service with military honors will be at 11:00 a.m. on March 11, 2022 at Cook-Walden Forest Oaks Memorial Park in Austin, TX.

Ron was born in Fort Sheridan, IL to Marilyn Arlene Rathbun and SSGT Chester Charles Senne, Army Retired, on November 19, 1948. He went to school at Fountain-Ft. Carson High School. He married Jeannie Marie White on May 22,1971 at Bergstrom AFB, TX. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 23 exciting years in the photography field, to include working with the world-renowned reconnaissance aircraft, SR-71 Blackbird. Next, he worked as a merry mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 13 years. He was an avid fan of rock n roll music and master of the barbeque grill. Ron liked to explore new places and travel to visit friends and family both near and far. He felt at home in the mountains, especially in the Rockies.

Ronald is preceded in death by his parents Marilyn and Chester; his sister Anita M Yeoward and his brother Terry; his parents-in-law Jeannie Brydson and Stramer F White; his sisters-in-law Lillian Peck Senne, Kathy Resendez White and brothers-in-law Robert G White, Thomas W White, Jim Yeoward.

Ron is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years Jeannie; and is lovingly remembered by his daughter Sherry A Senne, former husband Jimmy R Benson, and his son Ryan C Senne, wife Christine Montoya; his sister Vicki, husband Michael Pylypczuk, his brother Thomas L Senne; sisters-in-law Linda Simpson White, Michiko Ikehara White, Diane White-Gurganus, and brothers-in-law Stramer F White II, Christopher L White, Douglas A White; his grandchildren Jacob R Benson, Kayla M Benson, Derek A Benson, and Victoria A Senne; along with several beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

The Senne family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Mark Ambler for being Ron’s dedicated medical provider for more than 20 years; and, to Dr. Karen Ramero, Magnolia Hospice, Austin Geriatric Specialists, and Hays County EMS for providing compassionate care for Ron in his final years.
