Rosalie Marie Abraham passed away into the loving hands of her Lord and Savior surrounded by her family on December 15, 2010. Rosalie was born April 18, 1924 to Jim and Theresa Rothbauer in Schulenburg, TX. Most important in Rosalie’s life was to serve and worship the Lord, to be a loving and devoted wife and mother to her children as well as a care giver to all in need. Rosalie will be remembered for her selflessness, compassionate heart and faith in our Father. Her passion was to serve at her church, honor the Lord and fiercely and lovingly take care of her family. Mom was always there to give support, love and share her wonderful sense of humor with all who crossed her path. Her motto was to live each day as God would have us, give our worries to Him and we will always have hope for tomorrow and fond memories of yesterday. Her greatest joys were her husband, her children and reading the Bible to grow her relationship with our Father. Rosalie lived with Alzheimer’s with such grace and dignity and never voiced a complaint – a role model of love and joy for all.
Rosalie is predeceased by her parents, Jim and Theresa Rothbauer; sisters - Emma, Lillie, Annie, Minnie, Laura; brothers - John and Louis. Rosalie, married for 64 wonderful years, is survived by her husband and love of her life, Robert Merlin Abraham of Austin, Texas; her precious and beloved children, Robert Abraham of Houston, Texas, Pamela Retoff and mom’s “favorite son-in-law” Joe Retoff of Austin, Texas and Jim Abraham of Austin, Texas.
