Rosann passed away quietly surrounded by her loved ones on April 2, 2023.
A devoted wife to Carl Franklin Perry and mother of eight children: April Mae Hill, Tamma Lee Miles, Ticia Fern Stolt, John Ailes Perry, James Clifford Perry, Amy Gail Updike, Ellen Marie Hammon, and Peter Franklin Perry. She is survived by her husband, seven eldest children, her siblings: Arnold, David, and Randy Woolstenhulme, Judy Hansen, and Valee Malone-Griggs, as well as 24 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Rosann is preceded in death by her parents Clifford and Connie, her brother Tom and her son Peter.
Rosann attended Ricks College where she met her husband, Carl, and they married in the Idaho Falls Temple on June 26, 1969.
Rosann was a warm, compassionate, and vibrant woman who always went out of her way to help others. She had an innate ability to serve which endeared her to everyone she came in contact with. It is a great testament to her genuine and compassionate nature that she formed many long-lasting friendships over the years, continuing connections in Idaho, Texas, Canada, and Arizona, including many of you here today.
Rosann made education a priority in her life, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University (ASU), then a Masters in Education (MEd) Instructional Design and Curriculum Development certifying in Gifted & Talented academic excellence. She cherished her time educating and teaching children.
One of Rosann's greatest joys was being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she spent countless hours teaching Primary children, leading in Cub Scouts, serving for over a decade as a Young Women's Camp Leader, ministering as a Relief Society President, and working in the temple. She was thrilled to be recently set apart as a Family History Service Missionary.
She was a woman of many talents. A few of these include gardening, sewing dresses for special occasions, making beautiful quilts for her family and those in need, painting, crafting, and writing and illustrating stories from her childhood.
A graveside service will be held in Austin, TX, where she will be buried next to her youngest son, Peter.
