

Rose was born to Jim Kouri and Rose Salwa Kouri on July 14, 1921. Married for 63 years to her beloved husband Elias Rizkallah Ferris, who preceded her in death on May 23, 2005; now re-joined, continuing their love in the peace and contentment of heaven. Survived by her sons Richard Elias and Jimmy, his wife Tonya, and the loves of her life, her grandchildren, Danielle James and James Paul; her nephew Curly Ferris and numerous aother nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Moses Kouri, Tom Kouri, Richard Kouri and sister, Ann Kouri Fayad.
Ever the impeccable homemaker, her husband, children and home were her highest priority. After her husband closed Ferris Drug, Rose and Elias spent time with their adoring grandchildren and traveling abroad with her two sons Richard and Jimmy and her nephew Curly.
Rose was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Cathedral.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at 7:00 PM in the Colonial Chapel of Cook Walden Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on, Friday, March 14, 2008 at 2:00 p.m., St. Mary’s Cathedral, with Father George Joseph, Officiating. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
