Rosemarie Ojeda Acosta

Rose Marie Ojeda Acosta was called to Our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.

She is survived by her loving husband, Raymond Arocha Acosta and daughters Malysa Rayna Trejos (Frank) and Marissa Acosta van Kwartel (Ileana), sister Juanita Castillo and brother Tony Rositas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Luisa Vidouria Ojeda, brothers Ernest Ojeda, Jesse Ojeda, and Paul Ojeda, sisters Connie Garcia, Esperanza Lopez, Esmeralda Ojeda, Mary Louisa Haros, and Mary Helen Ojeda.

Rose Marie was born in Michigan and grew up in Austin, Texas where she met her husband of nearly 63 years. Rose Marie and Raymond were inseparable and shared many adventures through the years, including raising two daughters. Rose Marie and Raymond lived the last 30 years in Pflugerville, Texas.

She had numerous nieces and nephews who she cherished as well as 23 godchildren who she doted on. Her home was always a welcoming beacon to friends and family and she was always ready to whip up a meal or organize a gathering. Family was a central part of Rose Marie’s life and nothing made her happier than being among family. Her passing has caused a chasm in the lives of those who loved and cherished her. She will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm with recitation of the rosary to follow at Weed Corley Fish Funeral Home at 2620 South Congress Avenue, Austin, TX 78704. Funeral services will be at Weed Corley Fish Funeral Home on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 11:00am with graveside services to follow at Assumption Cemetery at 3650 S I-35 Frontage Road, Austin, TX 78704.
