Rosemary Ohman, 93, passed away on June 9, 2025 in Austin, Texas. Born in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Rosemary embodied the heart and soul of the city – welcoming, vibrant, full of stories, and devoted to those she loved. Even as she moved away from Louisiana, she always looked back fondly to her childhood, especially to the cajun cuisine she grew up with. Having married her late husband the love of her life, Larry, in 1958, she enjoyed traveling with him and experiencing the world together. They raised four children – Elizabeth Barnes Ohman Pollard (husband Rob) , Daniel Laurence Ohman (wife Connie), Christopher Terence Ohman (wife Susan) , and Jeffrey Keith Ohman – and throughout her life, Rosemary also opened her heart and home to many beloved dogs, each one cherished as part of the family. She was blessed not only with becoming a grandmother to Jake (wife Caitlin), Casey (husband Todd Nixon), Matthew (wife Kate), and Kate, but also as a great-grandmother to Walker, William, and Isla Rose. All who knew Rosemary knew her immense love for her family, and The Texas Longhorns. She will be greatly missed by all.
