

Roy served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Church of Christ and was the owner of Roy Bailey Trucking. He was a family man who loved his wife, children, grandchildren and all his family members. He was loved by them in return.
He had a strong work ethic and always provided for his family. He built his life based on honesty and integrity. He was a man of honor. Roy loved the Word of God and read scripture daily. He was a good man who treated everyone with respect. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.
He is survived by his wife, Lupe C. Bailey of Bastrop; children, Michael Bailey and wife, Gloria and Matthew Bailey and Jeannette Orozco, all of Austin, Patricia Bailey and husband, Juan Gonzalez of Cedar Creek, Aaron Bailey of Bastrop and Allen Bailey and Diane Hernandez of Austin; siblings, Malcolm Bailey and wife, Mary, Grace Brown and husband, Bob, Ralph Bailey and Birdie Hill and husband, Ed; 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 29, 2011 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 30, 2011 in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home.
Honoring Mr. Bailey as honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Jonathan Michael Bailey, Brandon Allen Bailey, Matthew Allen Bailey, Meagan Leigh Bailey, Amber Noel Gonzalez, Amara Ofelia Gonzalez, Juan Roel Gonzalez, Arianna Lupita Gonzalez, Amiee Arrie Bell Gonzalez, Briana Nicole Bailey, Nathaniel Allen Bailey, Donovan Louis Bailey, Aden Reyes Bailey and Dennis Orozco.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of Mr. Bailey to St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church, 126 W. Oltorf Street, Austin, Texas 78704 or to Northwest Baptist Church, 6301 Woodrow Avenue, Austin, Texas 78757.
