Ruby Shirley, age 80, of Elroy, Texas, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2005. She was born in Rosanky, Texas, to Collie and Gladys McWhorter. Ruby retired from the Texas State Florist Association. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Perry Shirley. She is survived by her son, Bobby Shirley and wife Jeannine; daughters, Shelby Peoples and husband Jackie, Jeane King and husband Charles, Linda Courtney and husband Preston; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of Monte Siesta where she lived for the past two years. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM 6:00 PM on Sunday, January 16, 2005, at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home.
