Ruths’ family was most important to her throughout her life. One day while talking to her, I said that she had a very blessed life. Her comment to me was that “she had been good to the Lord, and He had been very good to her.” She lived her life as a true Christian.
Her friend and caregiver over two decades, Blanca Parks and her husband Clarence Parks, had this to say about Ruthie...
'Ruthie', as she was affectionately known to family and friends, 'was a devoted follower of Christ. Her love of scripture and consistent daily prayer, certainly helped anyone who knew her understand that she had a glowing personal relationship with the Lord, so much so, that right up to the final days of her life, she was in constant prayer, a devoted action that we are sure helped usher her into the presence of God. She was a special person who will never leave our thoughts and hearts' Her life was a blessing to all who knew her, and her memory a treasure. Ruthie is loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
Graveside funeral services will be held in Dallas, Texas, Thursday November 15th, 2018 at Grove Hill Memorial Park, Samuel Boulevard at 10 am.
