I would like to take this time to let you know what Sam has meant to me. Gloria is my cousin and when I live in Austin we shared a lot of time together and were very close. Now knowing Gloria and sharing a lot of the same interest, our taste in men, well that was another story. That leads to Sam. Sam was such a hoot and always had a beer to share with you. Now that beer led to a lot of hilarious evenings. We had a night of Sam grilling steaks on the grill. My father who owned a restaurant was trying to tell Sam how to cook. Now the choice of words that they used with each other can not be typed, but let's just say we laughed all evening and Sam would give my Dad his famous look (you know what I mean).. laugh and then everyone would take another drink.
It is those times that I remember the best with Sam! He always made you laugh and he loved life. He had a kind heart and was a giving man. I along with the rest of you I will miss his witty ways, but am so glad that I have those memories to keep of him.
May God Bless Gloria and her family. Sam, I know you are in the best place on earth. Say hello to my mother and mean old daddy. I know you remember him, right? Love you Sam
