Bitsy was born January 4, 1939 in San Antonio, TX. She first attended Jefferson High School and graduated from MacArthur High School in San Antonio, TX.
Bitsy loved her family above all else and was happiest when all were gathered around her. She loved flowers and gardening and appreciated the native oaks that dotted her yard and spent hours on her front porch soaking up the outdoors. A native of San Antonio, she eventually moved to Austin with Roger, her late husband of 61 years, to be closer to her beloved family and enjoyed many years in her new dream home. Over the years she had many hobbies that included cross stitch, quilting, stained glass and more.
Bitsy was preceded in death by her husband Roger, her parents Ruth Gladwin Raske and Clarence Raske, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She is survived by her sons Russ Harris, Jeff Harris of Austin and Trey Harris and wife Melodie of Georgetown, TX, grandchildren Lindsey Harris, Lauren Harris, Wade Harris, Sandi Harris, Emili Harris, Hank Harris, Graci Harris and brother Walter Raske and wife Patty, nephews and cousins.
Remembrances may be directed to Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center or an organization of one’s choice.
