Many others knew Sandy better than I did, but even so, she remains as one of the most inwardly gifted human beings I have ever had the privilege of being close to. Learning of her too-early death was very sad for me. Some may not know it, but Sandy was also a fantastic poet. She wrote one for me, too personal to share - a veritable treasure, a masterpiece, on an aging piece of paper, tucked away in a book, for others to discover when I too am gone 


To my friend Sandy  I will always remember the beautiful woman in the reef with the big shiny teeth.  Like Calypso, this siren's voice would make me her friend for many years.  Sweet music to my ears came in a simple Hi Bob.  Together we explored the Hghland lake's pecan groves and grottos of Windy Point, the drift dives down the Comal and to the Devil's Throat in Cozumel.  Life is a journey best shared with friends.  Today I help to celebrate your life and thank you for being a part of mine.  When our time comes, we will look for your dive light to show us the way.  Until we meet again, may sweet queen Angel fish guide thee to thy rest.  Your Friend Bob

Memories of Sandy:    Sandy gave me my first job when I moved to Austin - at Hill Country Bank - and it was a wonderful time. At work she was serious, tough and professional and she expected that of those around her. Outside of work she was fun. She loved music, traveling, diving, friends and animals. She was someone that I respected and admired and I will never forget her influence in my life; her strong and courageous attitude and her encouraging smile. I feel fortunate to have helped Ed and other family members in preparing her for the next journey as I am now with Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. We have lost a beautiful person, but we are all better for having had her in our lives.



Sandy's smile was one that no one could ever forget! The Hendrickson family could not have wished for anyone more beautiful then you to share your LOVE and LIFE with our brother.... God must have needed more angles to help pour out the rain. We know you are EVERYONE'S ANGEL looking over us now.....Love Sabrina



I had the priviledge to care for Sandy, as one of her nurses, at the end of her life. I saw a lovely, caring, happy person. She was quick to smile and was appreciative of even the smallest things. I always felt a lot of love when I was in her room. Sandy's life partner, Ed, was always at her side, talking to her, caring for her physically and helping her emotionally through her last days on this earth. It makes me know with certainty that Sandy had a good life and that she was a special person. I am sure that everyone who knew her will miss her greatly just as I am sure that her memory will stay with me always.



Please accept my prayers and condolences in your loss.  I know that Ed loved Sandy very very much and she will be deeply missed.



Sandy will be missed a great deal.  She was very hard working and dedicated to her job and the people she worked with. Sandy was a mentor to me at Hill Country Bank.  She made an impression on me when she trained me because she expected excellence and she beamed with excitement when you gave it to her. Once you proved you could handle the task, she let you spread your wings.  We also became good friends and laughed, cried and shared Lifes ups and downs through the years.  My last memory was having lunch with her and she smiled that great smile and looked happy and content with life. She will be missed and remembered for a very long time.



Sandy was very instrumental in my becoming part of the "bonded family" of Hill Country Bank & I thank her for that.  We had many laughs through those years.  I know she is now at peace and without pain.  God bless you Sandy, Sharyn



One of the "five friends you can count on one hand" I will miss my dear friend.  Her momuments, the people she trained & shared her knowledge with, are sprinkled around the banks she help run and the lives she changed in them, including myself.  She loved to share her wisdom with others and that is what one of the things I will miss the most.  She also had the best pair of legs I've ever seen!  We love you, Sandy. I know she was a very specical lady to Ronnie. I didn't know her as well as I would of like, you think you have all the time in the world. I am sorry she is gone.
