Sara Beth Cobb

Sara Beth Cobb, 77, of Austin, TX passed away in the early morning of Jan 24, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born January 29, 1938 in Trion GA to Carl Newsome & Edith Newsome. Sara graduated from Trion High School.

Sara is survived by her high school sweetheart and loving husband of 57 years, Clyde; daughters Laura (Brad) and Carolyn (Ian) and son David (Cindy), 6 grandchildren, Michael, Ben, Weston, Tiana, Chloe and Atticus along with her sister Celia (Jimmy) and wonderful friends and family across the country. She was a much beloved mother and grandmother.

Sara joyously dedicated her life to loving and caring for her family. Sara and Clyde were married after they fell in love in high school, where Sara was homecoming queen and a beauty pageant winner. Sara worked fulltime to support Clyde while he attended The University of Georgia. She is openly credited with the success of Clyde’s career by running a tight ship at home and supporting him though out the many moves they made together.

Sara and her family lived in many cities all over the country and she was universally loved by anyone who had the pleasure to know her. Sara loved nothing more than spending time with all of her family which she did often.
