Sarge, the oldest child of six, was born September 7, 1937 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Charles Milward, Jr. and Della Hazel Milward.
Sarge’s colorful, witty character carried him through his adventurous life from his 20+ years in the Air Force followed by a career in the bank industry and with DPS.
He is survived by his many family and friends; siblings, Mary, Chuck, Diane and Audrey; children, Mark (Jana) Milward, Shari (Kelly) Eidenschinck; 5 grandchildren: Brad, Chris, T.J., Kelli, Patrick, and Katherine Milward.
Sarge was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife “Mert,” sister Joan Marie and granddaughter Randi Milward.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation from 5 o’clock to 7 o’clock in the evening on Tuesday the 24th of July 2012 at the Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas 78752.
