Shelley Kay Bradshaw
August 24, 1961 – April 13, 2018
Age 56, Shelley Kay (Taylor) Bradshaw passed away on April 13, 2018 in the loving embrace of her husband and family. Born in Michigan, Shelley was a lifelong Austinite, the beloved youngest daughter of Hilliard and Vicki Taylor.
Shelley partnered with her husband Brent in their long-time Austin family business, Durable Medical Equipment. She was known for her ability to connect with people, resulting in a natural affinity for customer service. Shelley began her career in retail and worked over 20 years at Frost Bank, ending her banking career as an assistant vice president. She loved family gatherings, jumped at the opportunity to dance to a funky beat and never found a shoe store she didn’t like.
Shelley is survived by her devoted husband of 34 years, Brent Bradshaw, and their daughters Victoria Bradshaw and Olivia Bradshaw; mother, Vicki Taylor; mother-in-law Mary Bradshaw; sister Valerie Taylor Schkade and husband Steve Schkade; sister Deena Taylor Rolls and husband Larry Rolls, and nieces Alanna Giusto and Lauren Rolls; and aunt Dee Turner and husband John Turner. Sister- in- law Brenda Hernandez and her husband Nash Hernandez, Jr. Her father, who passed away due to Alzheimer’s at age 89, preceded Shelley in death.
The Bradshaw family wishes to thank the wonderful caregivers at Hospice Austin and Visiting Angels.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Texas at www.txalz.org/donate; 3520 Executive Center Dr. Suite #140, Austin, TX 78731.

Shelley Kay Bradshaw

Shelley is an ever-present partner in my childhood memories. I have hundreds of these, such as sneaking into Valerie's room during sleepovers to steal a bra to wet and put in the freezer. We laughed at most everything, but that silly prank sent us over the moon in giggles. Shelley and I were at home wherever we happened to be, in the waters of the Rio Frio or in the aisles of Spensers looking for more gags to play on her big sisters. I have missed Shelley since we moved away from University Hills, and I can cope with her death only by imagining she is still in Austin, finding and spreading joy in every small thing. Olivia, I named my own child after you. The last time I saw Shelley was just after your birth. Vicki, my heart is with you through each and every day.
With all my love,
Sondee (Browning) Witt

To Shelley's family,
So sorry for not only your loss but the world's loss as well. What an enjoyable, fun, and engaging individual was Shelley. Lots of fun times and memories from years ago and at Frost Bank. Volumes of good memories remain. My condolences and prayers for the family.

Shelley was my co-conspirator in anything fun, especially dancing! The song “Sarah Smile” will always be her song and remind me of her twinkling smile, her infectious giggle, and her sweet nature. I share the family’s sorrow but know she rests in the arms of Our Lord and suffers no more. Until we dance again sweet friend.

Shelley was one of my very best running buds in high school. So many precious memories. I am saddened that she no longer lives on this earth but thankful that she is in heaven with her Savior and her sweet dad. I am sorry I won’t be able to attend the service/celebration on Friday. I will hold close my dear memories until I see her again. Prayers for this wonderful family I considered my own.

I have so many wonderful memories of my dear sister, Shelley. She was always spot on when it came to recognizing strengths in people she met and would always support and stand up to anyone who angered her family members. Shelley fought until her last breath. I miss her so much and know she is with my Dad enjoying everlasting life! You will forever be on my heart!

Tom and I were so sorry to hear about Shelley. We have such fond memories of our girls at Hyde Park pre-K and spending time with all of you at dinners afterwards and pre-K birthday parties. Our prayers to you, your girls, and your extended families.
