Stephanie was born in Houston, Texas to Alfred H. Ebert Jr. and Katherine Flythe Ebert on April 26, 1961 along with her identical twin and devoted sister, Allison, who she loved and cherished until the very end.
Stephanie graduated cum laude from the Kinkaid School in 1979 where she excelled in athletics and academia. She was elected class president by her peers who respected and adored her.
She attended Vanderbilt University her freshman year where she pledged Pi Beta Phi and was elected Outstanding Pi Phi Pledge. She then joined her sister at the University of Texas where she graduated in 1983 with highest honors. Upon graduation she was elected into the Phi Beta Kappa National Honor Society.
In pursuit of her passion for politics, Stephanie moved to Washington D.C. to work for Senator John Tower and soon after served as Assistant Director of Scheduling for the Reagan-Bush ’84 Campaign. She then went to the White House where she served as Senior Presidential Trip Coordinator for President Ronald Reagan. With the desire to return to Texas, she worked for Governor Bill Clements, then Texas State Treasurer Kay Bailey Hutchison. She ended her career as an independent political consultant in Austin.
Her greatest joy in life came from her two sons, Harrison and Nicho. Stephanie actively supported them in their sports and extracurricular activities. Her true passion was loving her boys. She was also known by her nieces and nephews as their precious “Tia” who was fun-loving, full of life, and always up for a good time.
Despite her struggles in life, Stephanie always exhibited joy, generosity, and kindness. Her love of the Lord was the source of her positivity, and all who knew her experienced her compassionate heart. She was a friend to all and will be missed dearly.
Stephanie is joining her beloved earthly father, Poppy, in heaven. She is survived by her two sons Harrison Acklin Adams and Nicholas David Adams of Austin; her mother, Katherine Flythe Ebert of Houston; her twin sister Allison Ebert Wagner and husband Bryan Wagner of Fort Worth; her brothers David Grant Ebert and Andrew Marshall Ebert and wife Anne, all of Austin; and her nieces and nephews, Campbell, Caroline, Allie, Lauren, and Eliza Wagner, and Scott, Kate and Thomas Ebert.
