Steven Eisert of Cedar Park, TX passed away peacefully with his wife of fifty years by his side on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at the age of 79. He was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2020 and his family rallied around him as he lived with this disease in his final years. He was born on July 12, 1943 in Oakland, CA. He grew up in Sedalia, MO and moved to Austin, Texas with his wife and two daughters in 1980.
Steven, or “Stevie” as his wife, Angela would call him, lived a full life, fully embracing his many roles such as husband, dad, and friend. He graduated from the University of Missouri Science and Technology with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and a Master of Science in Engineering Management. He also enlisted as a commissioned officer in the Army after college, deploying to Korea. He worked as an engineer and later manager for over twenty-five years at IBM. He gained a reputation for accurate financial forecasting. He also used these strengths in churches he attended by providing support on church committees and as an ordained deacon.
Steven had a love for nature and all God’s creatures that was infectious. His daughters have fond and silly memories of their dad taking them fishing, camping, and backpacking. He spent many years volunteering for a prison ministry and showing love to those society often overlooks. He had a great love for all dogs, especially Scottish Terriers, which he and his wife bred and showed for over a decade. Steven was an accomplished dancer, having taken lessons as a young adult and continuing to enjoy square dancing all throughout his life. He always turned heads on the dance floor at weddings and parties.

He is survived by his wife, Angela Eisert, daughter, Sharon Manaj and son-in-law Erjon Manaj, daughter Helen Eisert and partner Lauren Mauldin, grandchildren Michael Manaj, William Manaj, and James Manaj, niece Leslie Eisert, and nephew David Eisert.
