Steve was an engineer, a cyclist, a musician, and a gifted writer. He had a passion for discovering the best restaurants and a deep love for astronomy – he always knew exactly what was in the night sky. Most nights, you could find him gazing up at the stars and the moon, captivated by the universe. He was incredibly intelligent; he had an answer for everything. He had a childlike sense of wonder, and he could find the magic in everything. He was a great cook and found joy in preparing meals and sharing them with the people he loved. Above all, Steve was funny, kind, and a great dad and husband. He would do anything for the people he loved.
He is survived by his wife, Lou Ann Grossberg and their children Ivy Rae Grossberg and Isaac David Grossberg, his mother, Sonia Abelman, his brother, Philip Grossberg, sister Jill Marshall, his dog, Silas Grossberg, and granddog Scout Grossberg as well as numerous friends and loved ones.
A memorial service for Steven will be held Sunday, March 9, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills, 9700 Anderson Mill Road, Austin, TX 78750.
