Steve was an Field Application Engineer for Quantum when I met him back in '97. I had just started Dell storage engineering. Steve had an infectious laugh and great sense of humor. Not only was he a great technical asset, but a great friend. Every time he came to the lab I was greeted with "Peeeaaanuuut!". This would be my nickname for the next 20 years. I'm very saddened to hear of Steve's passing, but know that he's better now walking amongst the clouds. God bless Steve and his family.

So sad that we have lost such a great guy. Steve and I have knew each other for almost 44 years and were the best of friends in high school and college. I have countless wonderful memories but the best thing about Steve was his humor and his love for life. He sent me a note a few days before he left us and it stays in my memory because of how uplifting it was. He said...."No pity party has ever had a positive outcome for anyone involved so don't throw them!" So, instead of grieving, I encourage everyone that knew and loved Steve to be happy. Yes, he left us just temporarily, but he is now with the Lord and is at peace. I'll share this photo of Steve at my wedding in 1993. It is during the "Dollar Dance" and Steve is giving my brother a dollar so he could dance with the groom. Still makes me laugh! - Doug Kay, Columbus, OH

Brad and Lori,

My deepest and heart felt sympathies. Knowing Steve has been a great blessing in my life. Steve was a true friend and a good, good hearted person. I will miss him so much, his sense of humor, his laugh, him poking fun at me especially when I golf and my Aggies.

Steve was a great man and will be missed by many. My sincere condolences to the family and wish you much strength during this time. I met Steve through Seagate and had the honor of getting to know him during my time at Seagate. Steve was a major contributor to the organization and had a wealth of knowledge. In addition, he had such a great sense of humor and that unforgettable jolly laugh. Seeing his periodic posts on social media and in discussions with him, I could tell he was a great family man, father and husband. Steve will be missed by many people he has touched. Rest in Peace my friend.
