My deepest condolences to the Gardner Family. My memories of Stokely will always bring a smile to my face.

I will be smoking a brisket this weekend in his honor. Hope it meets his standards!

Here's to you, my good friend and neighbor. May you rest peacefully under the wings of God. Stokely showed me how to take care of my half acre of lawn ... AND my vegetable garden! He watched over me like a hawk and treated me like a sister. He had a huge sense of humor, and one day he looked over our fence and saw a poodle in my yard with a huge Afro. He held up a BIG yard rake and shouted over the fence and said ... this is what you need for that! I love you Stokley, and your beloved wife of 57 years, Deborah. They just don’t make ‘em like you anymore. Kelly
