Sue Elizabeth Siegert
August 5, 1938 – July 19, 2019
Our blessed mother, Sue Elizabeth Siegert of Austin, TX, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2019. She was born August 5, 1938 in Temple, TX to Fritz and Sue Lessmann. She attended the University of Texas at Austin where she met and married her love, Carlos Ramon Siegert, in July 1961 who preceded her in death in 2008.
Sue retired from Southwestern Bell after 38 years of service. She then worked with her husband Carlos at their family business, Siegert Inc.
Sue was a woman of deep faith. Her faith was an integral part of her life. She began as a Lector at San Jose Catholic Church until her eye sight began to diminish. She then became one of the Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, as well as taking the Holy Communion to the sick at Seton Main Hospital. She was a member of the Legend of Mary and attended weekly bible study at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church. She lived her faith by serving others and was a solid prayer warrior.
Sue was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was immensely proud of her family. Sue leaves behind 3 children, daughter Nita Stasny and husband Ken of Elkhart TX; son Rick Siegert and wife Deborah of Cedar Park TX; and James Siegert and wife Linda of Kyle TX. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
While her death was unexpected, she leaves behind a wealth of beautiful memories. We love you always Mom. See you on the other side.

Just read about your mom, love, condolences, comfort, prayers for you all. I only ever remember love and laughter and complete acceptance from you all but especially your mom and dad. Sorry I could not attend. Twinki. I would include Clay and mom but they too have passed, so I know they are all together again. I can truly say the times my mother spent with Carlos and sue where some of her best

Sue was such an inspiration. She knew how to enjoy life and modeled how to do this while caring for others. We met soon after George and I moved to Austin. She and Carlos opened their arms, heart and home to us in so many ways. She was the beloved God Mother to our son Daniel. I am so glad she lived long enough to see him as a father and to see his son Elliot. Christmas Eve will just not be the same ever again. Sue was generous, thoughtful, caring and could make a fabulous turkey. She was also a faithful daughter, niece, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother -- and friend. She will be missed; but her love and caring will live on through all who were touched by her smile.

My condolences and prayers.
Sue was in our Bible Study group at Saint Ignatius. We will surely miss her. I know she is smiling happily in Heaven . Love her.

Te voy a extrañar muchísimo, te quiero.
