Susan Kim Bollman

Susan Kim Rogers Bollman, devoted mother, grandmother, wife and friend, passed away February 21, 2015 in Buda, Texas. Kim was born January 23, 1955 to S.K. "Kirby" and Patricia Bowman Rogers. Kim attended Levelland High School, South Plains College, and Southwest Texas State University where she graduated with both her Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in Education. It was in San Marcos where Kim met her husband, Chris Bollman. Kim and Chris were married July 29, 1977 and they made San Marcos their home for over 30 years, before retiring to Buda, Texas. Kim was the proud mother of Keri Bollman and Kacie Bollman Chambers. Not only was she a wonderful, caring mother, but she was their best friend. Kim worked as a counselor for the San Marcos Independent School District for over 20 years. It was in this role that Kim impacted thousands of children's lives, providing comfort and support at a time when her students needed her the most. Kim's retirement led to a new chapter in her life; she was the grandmother of twins, Colin and Braden Chambers, who provided her with hours of laughter and stories.

Kim fought a courageous battle with cancer. Her sense of humor, laughter, and love will be missed by all. Kim leaves behind a loving family that includes her husband, Chris; daughters Keri Bollman and Kacie Chambers and her husband Bradley; two loving grandsons, Colin and Braden Chambers; her mother, Patricia Rogers; a brother Kirk Rogers; sister-in-law, Stephanie; and her nephew and niece, Ross and Reese Rogers. Kim was preceded in death by her father, Kirby Rogers, and her grandparents, including Mrs. Gladys Bowman.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24th at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home on North Lamar. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 in the Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park.
