Our mother, Suzana M. Villareal, went peacefully to her rest on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at the age of 88 in Austin, Texas, following a sudden bout of pneumonia. With her strong faith she has gone to be with the Lord.
She was living happily at The Anointed Senior Living, a community where she received an abundance of loving care. Though Dementia took some things from her, she always recognized her immediate family, which was an incredible blessing. Her warmth, humor and deep faith remained vibrant until the very end. We are so comforted to know that she spent her last months doing what she loved most: sharing jokes, working on puzzles, and playing bingo. Enjoying Mexican food was a favorite outing with us too.
Suzana was also a proud mother of three children, Roy & Becki Villareal, Sam & Debbie Villareal, Michael & Belinda Morris, grandmother of five, Kimberly King, Joel Villareal, Amalia Steel, Amanda Villareal, Adam M. Roch, and great-grandmother of Caroline, Benjamin, Micah, and Asher. She was also a dedicated ESL teacher for most of her career before retirement, touching countless lives.
We are so incredibly blessed to have had our mother with us for so long. The lifetime of love and laughter she gave us will forever stay in our hearts.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills, 9700 Anderson Mill Rd, Austin, Texas 78750. Please RSVP if you plan to attend to Belinda: [email protected]
