Sylvia Ann Duran, age 35, passed away on October 7, 2009. She was born on December 24, 1973 in Austin, Texas. She was a member of San Francisco Javier Catholic Church. Sylvia was a graduate of the University of Texas with a Bachelors degree in Mexican American Studies. She is preceded in death by her father, Rosendo Duran; mother, Jesusita Flores Duran; sister, Linda Duran and brother-in-law, Mario V. Ramos. Sylvia is survived by her sister, Dolores Ramos; brother, Ernest and wife Louise Duran; sister, Olga Duran all of Austin; nieces and nephews, Viana Molina and husband George, Nicole, Jeremy, Elijah and Nehemiah Duran and Jonathan Garcia-Ramos, Matthew Duran; great niece and nephews, Mariah, Isaiah and Aiden Molina; boyfriend, Manuel Trejo of Austin. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday, October 9, 2009 at Weed-Corley-Fish, 2620 South Congress. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
