Sylvia Meiron

Sylvia Meiron, of Austin passed away on September 17, 2009, at the age of 49. She was born on October 11, 1959 in Austin, Texas to Gregorio and Guadalupe Reza. She graduated from William B. Travis High School and went onto further her education at the University of Texas to receive her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. She was always a dedicated and involved parent in many of her children's activities such as being active in the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 80 and the Akins Band Boosters. Sylvia will be remembered for her love of many sports, her determination, perseverance, care for others, and exceptional sense of humor. She was preceded in death by her father, Gregorio Reza; mother, Guadalupe Fernandez; brother, Joseph Reza. She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Meiron; son, Jay Michael Meiron; two sisters, Yolanda Reza and Anna Rodriguez; three brothers, Richard Reza, Sylvester Reza and Michael Reza; nieces and nephews; and many more dear friends. Visitation will be from 2:00-5:00 pm on Sunday, September 20, 2009 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 S. Congress. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, September 21, 2009 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel with Reverend Mike Couhig CSC officiating.
