Tanner Scott Goodman entered this world on August 15,1995, minutes ahead of his twin brother, Trevor Cole Goodman in Austin, Texas. From that day on, Tanner brought enormous joy, laughter, compassion, and love to his family and friends. Tanner departed this earth to be with his MeMaw on December 27, 2024.
Tanner graduated from Dripping Springs High School in May 2014 and attended Austin Community College. He was a superb athlete and loved playing football, boxing, long-distance running, Taekwondo, Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, and hunting... and, oh yes, his cars!
Tanner had been employed at the Heart Hospital of Austin as a Supply Tech and also as a Patient Care Tech. He then transferred to South Austin Medical Center and worked as a Patient Care Tech. Afterwards, he decided to change careers and went to work for Gate Keeper Security Services as a security guard. In April of 2024, he opened his own security company, Goodman Personal Protective Services.
Tanner had that big, beautiful, boyish smile that lit up any room he entered, astounding good looks, his runway fashion style and his charismatic personality that captured the hearts of many. He always had the funny story to tell, especially when talking about his many animals; from the Guinea pigs, to the chickens, dogs, cats, lizards, chinchillas and Abraham, his rooster. He entertained his family and friends at every event, however, it was his warm and consoling hugs that could take away any pain from those he so dearly loved. Tanner has a place in many hearts that will live forever.
Tanner was preceded in death by his grandmother, MeMaw- Sue Ann Jennings of Nocona, Texas.
Tanner is survived by his loving parents, Wayne and Carol Goodman; his twin brother, Trevor Goodman and fiance Dakota Alvarez; half-brother, Jamie Goodman and wife Shanna, and nieces Lillianna & Anisley; Aunt Deborah Rich and Uncle Robert Vela of Austin; cousins Barron Vela of Austin; Simon, Madison, Elijah & Lilly Reuning, of Fate, Texas.
A memorial service for Tanner will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral H, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, TX 78749.
