

Terry was born in Joplin, Missouri, where she grew up with her older sister, Nancy. Terry graduated from Joplin High School in 1959 and moved to Kansas City, Missouri where she worked for Merriman Mortgage Co. She loved to visit with her friends and family as much as possible. Terry met her husband David W. Burleson in 1966 while both working in Kansas City. They were married on April 30, 1967, in Austin, Texas at Woodlawn Baptist Church. Terry was a child of Christ and was a devout Christian member of the Baptist Church all her life Terry accepted Jesus Christ in Baptism in 1954.
Terry was a loving wife and she and David traveled the world for the next 40 years while he was working for several different electronic industry companies. Terry loved the music of Pavarotti among other famous opera singers who brought her great joy. She was also an avid reader of mystery stories. In addition, Terry loved to cook, plus grew and nurtured many indoor and outdoor plants and flowers.
She was blessed with three loving sons, Tim Burleson, Jeff Burleson, and Chris Burleson. In 1992, while living in Saratoga, California, Terry trained herself in Microsoft computer skills and accepted a job with the Intel Corporation where she rose to the level of assistant to the Vice President of Finance. Her keen intellect, sense of humor and thirst for knowledge was special. She retired from Intel in 2007 and moved with her husband, David, to their present home in Southwest Austin, Texas. Terry also loved and took care her two cats, Katrina and Pepper. Most of all, Terry was a very kind and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, David, and her three sons, their families and four grandchildren, plus her sister, Nancy Ussery and extended other family members of cousins, nephews and nieces.
