Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Dolores Barron of Brady. They owned Barron's Jewelry on the square from 1962-1984. Mike is survived by his son, Scott Barron of Austin and Scott's wife, Bita, and their two children, Sean and Vivian; his brother, Ron Barron of Dallas and his sister, Susan Barron Gluckman of Austin.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, September 6, 2018, at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home at 6300 W. William Cannon Drive, Austin, Texas.
