Leticia Reneé also known as Tisha was born in San Antonio, Texas on September 20, 1973. She passed away at 43 years old on Tuesday, June 27th, 2017 in her mother's home. She was the loving daughter of Terry and Richard Vasquez and Pedro Sanchez. She is immediately survived by her husband, Scott Kopas, and her 4 children, Nicolas Salazar, Samantha Salazar, Natalie Galindo, and Mitchell Galindo. She will be deeply missed by all friends and family who's lives will be forever changed by the moments spent in her presence.
She was a loving mother of four kids and an inspiration to many. Wherever she went, she would shine her radiant light. As close family sat around as she took her last breath, she knew God had answered her biggest prayer, which was for her family to be together with peace in their hearts.
Tisha always strived for big dreams, which she had set for herself. She always knew who she was and showed that in her work life. By day she was superwoman, working hard to exceed the expectations she set out for herself. Which is why, at 43 years old, she was attending school at Strayer University to further her education and career. Tisha did everything with a fiery passion blazing in heart because she knew what she loved and didn't want to take that for granted. She had purposes in her life that shined for all to see which brought people life, joy, happiness and a reason to keep moving forward. Our mom was strong, brave, and the most courageous person I have ever known. She led a ministry called Celebrate Recovery for 8 years, where she helped herself and others build their relationship with Jesus. She volunteered in an organization called CASA, assisting Child Protective Services. For many years, she worked for Human Resources for Randall's and, most recently, for the Austin Police Department.
She never stopped sharing Jesus' love because she believed that testimonies shape us and help us become who we are meant to be. She was a strong, independent woman of the Lord and no one, not even Satan himself, could take that away from her because her faith was stronger than his attacks. She supported us and loved us with everything she had. She made mistakes, like every parent but her love was pure, genuine and not selfish. She believed in all of us and saw the goodness in each of us. She prayed for us daily because she knew that one day we would find a love in Jesus like she did.
