

Wiggins. He attended L.C. Anderson High School in Austin, Texas
where he was a student assistant coach for the football team. He
was awarded a scholarship in athletic training to the University of
Oklahoma. He joined the United States Army in March 1969 until
he was honorably discharged January 1978. Tobe was employed with
Valero Energy until 1986 when he was injured preventing a pipeline
gas leak and was later employed with Phillips Upshaw and Richard
Funeral Home. He was a deacon at New Mount Rose Baptist Church
in San Antonio, TX and St. John’s College Heights Baptist Church in
Austin, TX. He was a great cook that loved music, watching baseball
and reading his bible. A cherished father. grandfather, brother, uncle
and friend.
Deacon Tobe Landrum married Mrs. Bennie Filmore in December
1976.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Leon Landrum; his
mother, Mrs. Beatrice Thompson Landrum Wiggins; his sister, Ferlie
Spicer and his son, Deacon Ronald Patterson, Sr.
Deacon Landrum leaves to cherish his loving memories, Bennie
Landrum Cochran; two daughters, Falan Ford, Carol “Lanie”
Williams (Elroy); two sons, Donald Patterson, Curtis Simmons
(Norma); four grandsons, Ronald Patterson, Jr., Royce Williams,
D’Morea Patterson, Jaran Simmons; two granddaughters, Brianna
Kelly (Austin), Lisette Simmons; one brother, Charles Landrum;
three sisters, Helen McBride (Robert), Gloria Elliott, Vistella McKee;
great-grandchildren, Avery, Harper, Arya, Shepard, Bellami; and a
host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
