Tonia Marie Kruger

She was born to Douglas and Carrie Shields, May 19, 1987, in Austin. She graduated from Bowie High school in 2005 and received an associates’ degree from ACC in 2009. She married Ross Kruger on June 11, 2011, and they lived together in College Station and Katy.

Tonia was a long-time member of Western Hills Church of Christ in Austin and had been attending Cinco Ranch Church of Christ in Katy. She was selfless and would give of her time to whoever was in need. She was a true servant, never asking for praise and attention while giving all of her.

She touched many lives in her short time on earth, and her legacy will live on in the lives she saved through donation of her organs. She was beloved by everyone she met.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ross; parents, Doug and Carrie and Wes and Susan; siblings, Bryan, Stephanie, Steven, Sammi, Lana, John, Jannette, Reid, and Rhett; 3 nieces and 1 nephew; and countless other friends and families.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Western Hills Church of Christ located at 6211 Parkwood Drive with Pastor Danny Fuertes to officiate. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Sunny Glen Children’s Home or the Foster’s Home for Children.
