
Hi Paw.  "This is me, your son. Your son, Paw!" (remember how you would always go, "Who?!" then say, "Hi Son.. Are you ok? Here is your mom." And hand the phone to mom.    Dad, I understand you are no longer hurting. I understand you didn't like being "sickeeter"  And I know you did go to Heaven and you and Nani/Twin Brother are tag-teaming to take care of us. I'll bet she needed the help, too!    OK, so we had a totally different way of playing dominoes. Do you remember when Anselmo first beat you and how every time after that, too..? How come?    Things aren't the same without you, Paw. Yes, I know we had plenty of time to prepare, but still, it isn't the same without you.    Yes, I'm gonna try to play ball another year. Thank you for teaching me baseball. I can still throw, still bat but my slide to the side is more like a heavy bounce to the bag.    Don't worry about mom. Your daughters and their daughters are working together.    Remember when the Munster guy came to visit? Remember when Bugs brought his latest Harley creation over and when I tried to ride it I made a huge gouge in the backyard. and you told me to you it looked like an ocean wave? Remember when I first brought over the Fleetline after Sonny Boy had painted it? Remember how you would look at me, just before telling Peter,"Domino."     I remember how each of those times you had that same smile when you looked at me. You never said much, but your smile meant all the world to me.     I'm sorry about Fellio. I'm sorry for all the times I didn't listen to you.  Thank you for never giving up on me, especially after I got back..     Right now, in my mind I can feel you patting my back. I can hear you saying, "Aww, my son."



Hey Grandpa,    Its me Buck-A-Roothine. I miss you Grandpa. I miss seeing you there laying on the couch or I miss seeing you out there in the carport sitting in your chair. I can't believe I wont be seeing you everyday or I'll never hear you call me chicken little again. It's not fair. I know your in a better place but I still want you back here. I know that is selfish of me but I can't help it. I saw Snoopy today, on t.v. I almost called Grandma to tell her to put it on for you, but now I guess you can see it anytime you want huh? Did you see the Cow-punchers win on Thursday? Bet you helped them out. I love you Grandpa. I just want to tell you that and tell you thank you for everything you have done for me. Like teaching me to play dominos, you and Grandma taking care of me and Stephanie during the summers and after school, not to mention our trips to visit the Virgen de San Juan. I have so many good memories of you and I promise I'll treasure them for ever. Don't worry I'll help Mama take care of Grandma. I know she was your Sweetheart. Everytime I hear someone call someone they love that I will forever think of you and Grandma. I remember when the roses bloomed you would always cut one and give it to Grandma and when you couldn't go outside anymore you would have me and Stephanie do it for you. I know you loved her very much and I promise I will keep cutting a rose for you Grandpa. Watch over us while your up there please. I know we'll see each other again so until then... I love you!!!!



Dad,    I know deep in my heart you are in a better place. You're not suffering, or hurting anymore. You are at peace. Yes, you lived a long life, yet, it doesn't take the pain that I'm feeling for you right now. I'm sad Dad, very sad. To the point that I see something that reminds me of you or a memory comes to mind and then I realize that you aren't here with me and mom anymore and it hurts. I know you need me to be strong for Mom and I am. They say that time heals all wounds, but I guess will see. There were two things you said to me and I will keep those words close to my heart. They were

Hi Grandpa!!  It's me...your Little Joe here:)    I'm glad that you are not hurting anymore but we sure are going to miss you here!!    I know that you are eating good now, having your Miller Lite, playing your dominoes and laughing with Nonnie and dancing with Snoopy!! You tell her that we miss her very much too:)  I'm so glad that we had you as long as we did Grandpa...I have so many wonderful memories of you and my summers at the house and the fun that we all had there.  Watch out for us up there and watch out for Grandma...she really misses you but is being so strong for you Grandpa!! I know you miss your Sweetheart but we will take care of her for you... Hi Grandpa,    It's Emmy. Or "Roundhead" as you liked to call me. I remember when I would walk into your house, and you would look up at me and reach your hand out, you would point at me and say "Rounnnnnnnndhead!" And then you would pull me close and give me a hug. I don't really remember the reasoning behind you calling me that, but I loved it. And I miss it. I'm sorry that I didn't go see you more often. I knew that you were sick, and I was afraid you wouldn't remember me. I wanted to remember you the way you were. And now I deeply regret my absence in the last year. I don't know if anyone told you, but you have a little roundhead. Her name is Johana Audrey. And she is just like me. You would love her. And I know you do. Please watch after her, and look in on me from time to time. You were always a strong man, and sometimes; especially now I need your strength. I know you're in a better place and you're no longer suffering. I love you grandpa, and I know i'll see you again.     If you ever need me, I'm here.    I LOVE YOU.
