Valerie Sue (Cutshall) Freeman of Austin, Texas, passed away on July 5, 2024, after a brave battle with cancer. Valerie was born in Pasadena, Texas, on October 10, 1946, to Estelle (Taylor) and Donald Cutshall. A graduate of Milby High School, Valerie attended Baylor University graduating at the age of 21. Immediately following, she began a successful, 49-year career in the medical field.
Valerie married the love of her life, Marquis Freeman on August 27, 1969. Married for 37 years, Mark and Valerie spent years traveling together, golfing, and visiting friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Mark Freeman, and parents Estell and Donald Cutshall.
Valerie captured the attention of many as a floor model, she also appeared in a TV commercial, a USO movie, and was even in the Willie Nelson movie “Another Pair of Aces.” Valerie also had a passion for animals, particularly cats and horses. In addition to her many talents, she had experience as a barrel racer.
Valerie’s calm and loving personality will be missed by so many.
