Verline and I quilted together she always thought quilts were made with squares, in the box. One day she came in with one top totaly out of the box. I was so proud of her.
I loved her like a mom and so sad to hear she has gone to be with Stanly. God bless her and her family.
I left in 2013 to be with my mother.
She was a great lady bless all of you.

As I ponder what to say, the memories are flooding in, and I realize the impossibility of choosing one. For me they start back in 1959 when I first was welcomed into the family and they continue to the present. There were many shared meals, church pews, smiles, tears, weddings, funerals, holiday meals, phone calls, sewing projects and all things wonderful. Verline was an admirable Christian woman, a peacemaker, friend, and confidant who is definitely leaving footprints on my heart. I am sad, but I also rejoice in knowing she has reached her ultimate destination.

My heart is sad. Verline and her husband, Stanley, will always hold a special place in my heart. Stanley was my mom's cousin. Verline was a role model to me about how to live authentically. She had strong family and Christian values that she passed on to her family. She was a great cook, very kind, playful, had a great sense of humor, and focused on service to others. I always felt loved and supported by her. Everyone who knew her was touched by her. Prayers for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren as well as all who knew her. Rest in peace Verline. I love you.
