Vicki L. (Giles) Harris left the pain and suffering of this world on March 11 2021. Vicki was born in San Antonio Texas on Sept 5 1948 to J.B. and Marie Giles. She travelled the world while J.B was in the Air Force, living in several different states, France and Thailand. She met and married Gene Harris in Jacksonville Arkansas on Dec 31st 1970. Vicki was preceded in death by her mom Marie, dad J.B. and her brother Alan. Vicki is survived by her loving husband, Gene; sister and brother-in-law Karin and John Holland, her two sons Raymond and wife Mary, Richard and wife Texanna and six grandchildren; Christine, Stephen, Richard Jr, Joshua, Corbin and Ephraim.

To my USAF 308th SMW friends; Vicki Harris, Honorary Missile Woman, has pulled her last support alert, she passed peacefully from this life on March 11 2021. She was my partner for just over 50 years. She did my laundry and watched the kids while I was on alert, at the Missile Procedures Trainer or doing some other duty for the 308th SWM. She served the country just as much as I did just in a different way. I will miss her greatly but she has gone on to a better place.

The most important thing to Vicki was her faith in God and that a better life awaited her through Christ Jesus.

To Gene and family: Our heartfelt prayers and deepest sympathies go out to you guys at this time of great loss. My (Connie) fondest memories of Vicki were made many years ago when she would come out to our farm and we would crawl on and ride whatever we could find that had 4 feet, i.e. sometimes horses, but most of the time my dad‘s big work mules. We both loved it!! Even though I was just her little cousin and six years younger. she never treated me like a little kid in the way. I am so sorry she had such rough years prior to her death; but JUST LOOK AT HER NOW!🤗🤗 Blessings to you all.

Vicki was a city girl so when she came to our home in the Arkansas countryside, she loved it! Her favorite activities were fishing in the creek and riding horses.
Vicki and I were the oldest of the 25 Smith grandchildren. Mother said that on our first Christmas in 1948 our Smith grandparents sold some sheep and bought each of us a kid-size wooden chair. I still have mine.
Vicki and I remained in touch throughout our life times and I will miss her very much.
All my love and condolences to her family.
