I truly did not personally know Vickie well as a friend, yet she was my sister-in Christ. And that can often signify a greater relationship. We shared one evening after a meeting at my church, Powerhouse of Praise, at which time she expressed to me she was in need of a friend. She asked if I would be that person, if she could have my telephone number. I was overwhelmed by such a request, that someone truly desired a friendship with me. With the cares of this world, she never called, and unfortunately, my good intentions of finding her, never were acted upon. But for those who love her, I wanted to share how I saw Vickie. The flowers I sent were an expression of how I saw her. The Asiatic Lilies represented the energy I saw in her spirit; the Peach Roses revealing the appreciation of those around her ; the White Roses revealing the purity of her love deeply hidden inside; and the Gerber Daisy revealing the playful and softness of spirit she carried, again, somewhat hidden beneath the cares of this world.
I am so sorry we did not get the chance to play together Vickie! But all is never lost in God's Kingdom, for He will bring us together again one day at His appointed time, and all will be made perfect. Rest in His eternal peace.

I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your Mother. I worked with Vicki in Taxpayer Service in Wichita. I remember how proud she was of you, Dante, and your art. My prayers are with you and your family.

When I was attending Austin Love Ministries as a Sanctuary Servant, Sister Vickie would always say " Debra, why can't all the orher servants do like you? Stand, what you suppose to be doing. when your on post.( Joking of course) I just smiled and felt good about what she had just said. She always. had encouraging words. She also was good with the kids in Childrens. Church. She will forever be missed.
