1949 – 2021
Austin, Texas -- Victor Cervantes was born on March 13, 1949 to Vicente Cervantes and Julieta Stewart in El Paso, Texas. He transitioned peacefully in his home surrounded by family on March 18, 2021.
Victor and his family moved from El Paso to Austin where he graduated from St. Edward’s High School. He served in the U.S. Army. In 1971, he married Consuelo Salazar and they would have celebrated 50 years of marriage on October 1, 2021. He retired from the City of Austin after more than 20 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Connie, his daughters Dorian and Michelle Cervantes, son-in-law Wagner Ribeiro, and his sister Neva Lund and brother-in-law James Lund.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
