

Vincent Wade Lewis, age 50, passed away on January 23, 2009. He was born on September 13, 1958 in Austin, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence (Dub) and Louise Lewis. Vince is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Lupe; three sons, Andrew Robert, Cody Vincent, Joshua Lawrence; one daughter, Chelsie Rae Lewis; one sweet granddaughter, Melissa Gloria Ruiz; six brothers, Marty, Chris, Mike and wife Jo Kay, Stephen and wife Angie Craft, Tim and wife Elsa, Joe and wife Tracee; three sisters, Jane and husband Howard Tiechelman, Gene and husband Dr. Joe Guerra-Paz, Tricia and husband Julian Lopez; and a host of beautiful nephews and nieces and friends who will miss him dearly. Vince graduated from William B. Travis High School in 1978. Most of his career was in the plumbing and piping wholesale industry and was employed at Ameripipe Supply Co. He was a four time champion at the Lewis Silver Dollar tournament. He was a gentle spirit with great pride and love for his family and friends. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at Weed-Corley-Fish South Congress. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 29, 2009 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Austin, Texas with Reverend Joseph A. Tomei, CSC officiating. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
