To the family of Virginia Goerner,
My parents were friends with Hugh and Virginia in the early days of the Hills of Lakeway.  My Mother Shirley, who has always been the timid sort, loved and adored the outgoing, honest, forthright, fun Virginia with all her heart.   Our Shirley is a few years younger than Virginia and is still with us for now. Please know, dear family, that Virginia will live on in our heartfelt memories and we pray that you may feel the comfort from above during your time of grief.

Mrs. Goerner has been a kind neighbor to my parents for decades, and we will all miss her warm smile. Over the years, she and my folks shared newspapers and visited local BBQ restaurants where they enjoyed good Texas cobbler (a favorite of mine too.) She would even bring over the special peach Blue Bell ice cream each summer once it was released. I enjoyed talking with Mrs. Goerner when I was in town, and I'm grateful I was able to do so recently. She and Mr. Goerner both were foundational elements of the neighborhood, and it feels a lot less whole today without their presence. And yet, as we already do with Mr. Goerner, we will continue to remember Mrs. Goerner within our family stories. It was an honor to know them and I wish all the best to their family. Heartfelt condolences.
