Virginia White of Burnet, Texas passed away October 24, 2014. Virginia was a retired Travis County Tax Appraiser. She attended St. Elmo Elementary in South Austin and was an Austin High School graduate. Every year Virginia held reunions at her home for her classmates of St. Elmo Elementary. She enjoyed RV trips to the Rocky Mountains and trips to the Texas coast with friends and family. Virginia is preceded in death by her father John B. Reed, her mother Barbara R. Reed, her brother John Reed Jr., and her infant son Merle White. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, James B. White, her oldest son Cecil White and his wife Mary, her youngest son Duane White and his wife Sandra, and her four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. followed by funeral service at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 29th, 2014 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
