Vivian Anne Ping, age 60, lost her battle with MS unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 20, 2016. Vivian, a native Austinite, born February 7, 1956, attended Pease Elementary, O’Henry Junior High and Stephen F. Austin High School. She obtained a degree in Accounting from Concordia University. Vivian was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church Austin, active in choir, handbells, GA’s and Acteens. She had a love of sports and watching her nephews play baseball, basketball and football.
She is survived by her parents, Albert and Rena Hoelscher, sister, Julia Ping Valentine, nephews, Aaron Valentine and girlfriend Marlaina Perez and Bryan Valentine and his wife Ashley, her aunt, Ollie Dell Cartwright and numerous cousins.
For the care given to her, the family would like to thank the staff of West Oak Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center where Viv has lived for the past four years.
Her Memorial Service will be at 1:30 P.M., Saturday, April 23, 2016, in the Sanctuary of First Baptist Church Austin, 901 Trinity.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Living Music Scholarship Fund.
