

Wallace (Dutch) Kimberlin Foster, Jr. passed away on September 21, 2010 after an illness this summer. He was born and raised in Jackson, Tennessee on May 11, 1927. His parents were Margaret Edna Lenz and Wallace Kimberlin Foster, Sr. He had an older brother, Edward Patton (Pat) Foster, and older sister, Margaret Rosalyn Anderson.
Dutch served in the Navy in World War II and graduated from the University of Tennessee as an Electrical Engineer. He joined IBM in Washington, D.C. in 1951 where he met his wife, Mary Helen Haynes. They married in 1956 and transferred to Lexington, Ky. a year later. Raising four sons, they transferred to Austin, Tx. in 1968.
During his 40 year career with IBM, Dutch held several managerial positions in Product Development Engineering. His hobbies included tennis, golf (most recent hole-in-one in 2004) and duplicate bridge. Volunteering at Meals on Wheels and being a greeter at Riverbend Church were among the favorites of his activities.
He is survived by his four sons Robert Kimberlin (Bob), John Haynes (Jack), Joseph Wallace (Joe) (all of Austin) and Clay Margrave (Los Angeles), their spouses Lois, Kellie, Rhonda and Kirk Hunt and seven grandchildren Kimberlin Anne Larson, Robert Michael Foster, Katherine Virginia Foster, Jenny Lynn Foster, Mary Vanessa Foster, Jackson Dandridge Foster and Annie May Foster and two great-grandchildren Brayden Lee Larson and Kimberlin Elizabeth Larson. His sister, Rosalyn, of Lexington, Tn. also survives him.
The sons wish to thank Mercedes, Victoria, Dee and Nora for all their caretaking assistance these past few months.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 24th at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, North Lamar. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 25th in the Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel with interment following at Austin Memorial Park.
