

Walter William Gilchrist, II Walter William Gilchrist, II, age 48, of Carrollton, Texas, died on Tuesday, August 2, 2005. He was born on February 28, 1957 in Denton, Texas to Walter Gilchrist and Doris French. Walter received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from the University of Texas at Austin and his Masters in Business Administration from St. Edwards University in Austin. He was a Certified Graduate Builder from Dallas Home Builders Association. He is survived by his daughter, Jacquelyn; brothers, Loren Gilchrist and wife Cindy, and Rick French; sister, Susan Gilchrist; nieces and nephews, Alexandria Mayo, Walter Mayo and Meredith Paschal. Walters professional life included his presidency and ownership of Silverstone Ventures, Inc. and Stonebrook Builders in the DFW area. He was dedicated to producing the highest quality homes. His perfectionism, integrity, organization, and efficiency were valued qualities by his peers and customers alike. The perfect big brother and first-born son, always there with a strong shoulder, a laugh or prank, his duct tape and staple-gun. A thoughtful and tender-hearted friend, never failing to offer his time or forgetting a birthday. Walter loved NASCAR, moto-cross, Scrabble, rock-n-roll, and his bunny, Thumper, but nothing compared to his love for his daughter, Jaqui. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2005, at St. Theresas Catholic Church, 4311 Small Road. Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park.
