Wanda Sue Gouldie, 91, of Austin, Texas passed away peacefully at home on October 9, 2021. She was a graduate of Incarnate Word Academy in Houston and attended the University of Texas at Austin. She was a stay-at-home mom until the last child started school and then she pursued a career at IRS in Austin. Like her love of all the children, she was also an avid University of Texas fan and watched as many of the Longhorn games as she could. She had a smile for everyone she met. Wanda was predeceased by her husband, Charles Durham Gouldie, a granddaughter, one great-grandson and her beloved Macho Man. Wanda is survived by all of her eleven children: John, Kathleen “Kathy”, Robert “Bob”, Thomas “Sam”, William “ Billy”, Rosann “Rosie”, Louise ”Lulu”, Daniel “Dan”, George, Edward “Edd” and Suzanne “Soozie”. She is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and all her “adopted” family.

The family will receive friends at a visitation at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N. Lamar Blvd, Austin, Texas on Thursday, October 14 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a rosary at 6:00 pm. A Mass of Resurrection will be held at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church Chapel at 9500 Neenah Ave, Austin, TX on Friday, October 15 at 10:00 am.

What an honor it is to have met Momma Gouldie. The first time I met her She greeted me with her infectious smile and made me feel just like family. We know that is how she entered heaven with that very smile. Sending prayers for all of her family at this time of sadness. Lori & Kevin Dunne

To the family of Wanda Gouldie, please accept my sincere sympathy to you on her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I know that you have many fond memories to share with each other, and I am sure that there is a laugh or two among those memories.

Thank you, Soozie, for all that you are doing to bring Pioneer Farms alive. I appreciate the energy that you bring, and I am sure that you inherited some of that from your mother.

In sympathy,
Rosemary Morrow
